2012 BMW 1 Series the Bavarian automaker, like its fellow German Audi and Mercedes-Benz brand, has exploited its product offering with the spin-off of its established models. So the two doors of the 6 Series has generated a four-door version GranCoupe. The 5 Series sedan and wagon also has given us the strange provided 5 Series Gran Turismo. However, on 1 of the Gran Turismo series is another matter, since it is not expected to share the small rear-drive platform with its namesake, recently revised, but rather a new set of front-wheel drive platform.

BMW Bayerische Motoren Werke, has the word "engine" in its name, and the brand it used to be defined by a range of excellent engines. In recent years, ranging variations has been reduced to 2.0-liter inline-four engine and six-cylinder 3.0-liter for most models, with the odd V-8, V-10 or V -12 drive luxury models. 2012 BMW 1 Series The face-lifted a series, now launching in Europe as a five-door hatchback, runs a radical break with the old world of BMW engines: It will be powered exclusively by turbocharged four-cylinder.

The 2012 BMW 1 Series nomenclature of the new 1-series still obscures the real engine capacity, which accidentally coincides only a few models: the 116i to 134 hp and the 118i to 168 horsepower are powered by a gasoline engine 1.6 liter PSA jointly developed with and shared not only with the Mini family, but also with a large number of models of Peugeot and Citroen. The 116d of 114 hp, 141 hp 118d and 120d of 181 hp are powered by BMW's own 2.0-liter diesel.

For model year 2012, BMW has made some adjustments at one of the series. The headlights and taillights have been redesigned, and the 128i receives air curtain standard on coupe and convertible, a feature that improves aerodynamics. Apart from these small adjustments, the 2012 model is very similar to the previous generation. That means you may be able to swing a deal on the 2011 model. The adjustment of the base, the 128i comes with a 3.0-liter inline six-cylinder engine, the 135i and the most expensive comes with a 3.0-liter turbocharged inline six-cylinder engine 2012 BMW 1 Series.

2012 BMW 1-Series Convertible

The new 2011 BMW 1 Series Coupe and Convertible are the first BMW models to enable access to some of the most used social networking tools, Facebook and Twitter.

Along with these capability, the new 1er facelift also offers access to internet-based radio stations. This is yet another indication that BMW along with other automakers are turning their marketing efforts towards the online medium and are looking to capitalize on the large user population that Facebook and Twitter have.

The two popular social networking platforms are reported to have combined over 700 millions active users every month. It is expected that BMW will introduce similar capabilities and features in the upcoming models and facelifts.

This concept is pure fictional and based on nothing but imagination. I’m a huge fan of the One Series and I am under no illusions that I can create a better design. Having said that, I’m also not bound by any marketing and technical constraints, so the car pictured here would not and cannot predict the future model.

I’m doing this for fun and fun alone. My thinking towards the next model is that it might look more aggressive and purposeful. The design language will also reflect BMWs current design trends and will therefor be more edgy.

With my design, I tried to create a whole new identity for the One, but at the same time stuck to some typical BMW features.

Some interesting design elements: The headlights are CS Concept inspired but that’s where it ends. There are two parallel lines running from the kidney grill at the front all the way over the roof and ends in the rear hatch number plate indent. Also the two lines running along the side of the car carries on into the front bumper and bends downwards to integrate with the front air intake.
